Staff


Michellie Jones - Michellie is a multi-time ITU World Champion, XTERRA World Champion, Ironman World Champion. She also earned a silver medal in the inaugural triathlon in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Austraila. Michellie is a pioneer multi-sport athlete with tremendous accomplishments at every distance. She lives in Carlsbad, CA where she coaches athletes through Giddyup Multisports.

Alex Meyer - Alex is a professional open water swimmer competing on the FINA World Cup Circuit. Following a successful collegiate swimming career at Harvard, Alex has won multiple US National 10K Championships, the FINA 25K World Championship, and finished 10th in the 10K open water event in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Alex is a sought after clinician, who has worked with youth and masters athletes throughout the world. Alex is currently living and training in Knoxville, TN.

Mike McConneghy - Mike has over 30 years of competing in and coaching athletes for multi-sport events. Mike had a successful x-year career as a professional duathlete. He is currently the head coach for track and field and cross-country at the Ravenscroft School in Raleigh, NC.

Dwayne Dixon -

John Payne -  John is a former professional triathlete competing in national and international events including the USTS circuit, Bermuda International and Montreal International triathlons, posting a 10th place finish in the US National Sprint Championships. Transitioning to coaching, John has helped athletes to Olympic, World Championship medals, and US National championships. He is currently on the USA Swimming coaching roster for open water and has been a staff member for USA Swimming's Open Water Select Camp for four years. John currently coaches out of Raleigh, NC.

I give permission to Tri Life, LLC to use my image without payment in any future Tri Life, LLC materials should it appear in photos taken during an Event.

I freely and voluntarily accept all risks of injury, death, or property damage.  I understand and agree that none of the parties described below may be held liable in any way for any occurrence or accident in connection with an Event.  I hereby RELEASE from any and all liability and agree to INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS Tri Life, LLC, their officers, agents, successors and assigns, the sponsors, the ride leader(s) (if any), or other volunteers, against all claims, including, but not limited to, claims of negligence, unintentional acts, and acts of omission, and any loss or expense, which may arise from my participation in any Event.  I understand I am responsible for my own conduct and decisions while participating in a Tri Life, LLC Group Ride Event and further agree that this Waiver & Release shall apply to any claim arising out of my participation in non-bicycling activities while a participant in an Event.

This Waiver & Release is intended to be binding upon me, my family, my heirs, my estate, my legal representatives and assigns.  Any legal action that may arise from my participation in this ride or event will be brought in Wake County Superior Court in North Carolina State.  I understand that the terms of this document are contractual and not a mere recital, and I have signed this document as my own free act.

The Tri Life Group Events will not be responsible for any delay, interruption or other failure to perform, and may cancel any event in the case of a circumstance beyond its reasonable control. Such circumstances include, but are not limited to, an Act of God (for example, flood, earthquake, volcanic eruption, etc), war, riot or other civil disturbance, fire, epidemic, explosion, terrorist activity, sabotage, compliance with government requests, orders, or regulations, inability to deploy necessary equipment or volunteers, roadway or trail closures or construction, dangerous or impassable roadway or trail conditions, or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Cascade Bicycle Club. The executive director and the board will be the sole decision makers as to what, if any, refund or other accommodation will be made in the event of cancellation of an event.
